Chris Brown's Violence is 'Unacceptable,' Says Ne-Yo

Chris Brown's attack on his then-girlfriend Rihanna last year was inspired Ne-Yo to join the campaign by Macys called "Respect!" which aims to promote respect in relationships and end abuse.

"What happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna was unacceptable, and we need to all work together and make sure it never happens again, to anyone," Ne-Yo said.

The "So Sick" hitmaker then debuted a single entitled "Heroes" and the Proceeds from sales of the song will go to the "Respect". He explained, "Respect is the foundation of positive relationships. There's often too much violence around us - and we need to focus on and celebrate those behaviors that inspire healthy interactions. I hope this song brings visibility to the issue and encourages all of us to be heroes to others."
